Our 16/02/21 play reading was:
The Dunstervilles of Dublin
by Geoff Wright
What a fabulous first performance of a piece written specially for the internet, scripted by a Neston Player! Entitled "The Dunstervilles of Dublin", but its setting is very close to home. In fact, it's about dramatic events in Burton and the Wirral nearly 400 years ago, and is based on original documents researched by several members of the Burton and Neston History Society.
It was fascinating to listen to the events unfold that culminated in such a tragic tale. I'm sure all present will think of the Dunstervilles every time they travel towards Burton. Geoff very kindly answered questions after the reading. He obviously has a fantastic knowledge of this family, and a great passion for the history of our area.
Thank you Geoff!
